How it works

From sign-up to your first booking in three steps

  1. 1

    Set up your page

Add your venues and your programs: sessions, prices, ages and photos. Already on EventCub? Claim the page we made for you and edit it yourself.

  2. 2

    Parents find you

Your programs show in search by suburb, age, date and activity, on the map, in the rails on the front page and in the alert emails parents sign up for.

  3. 3

    Answer requests and get paid

Each request arrives with the child's details and a 72-hour clock. Confirm or decline in one tap, and card payments reach your bank through Stripe.

Bookings

A request queue, not an inbox.

Every request lands on your dashboard with the child's name, age and medical flags, sorted by how long the parent has been waiting. Confirm or decline on the row, and the parent is emailed either way.

  • Confirm or decline in one tapRequests are sorted by how long the parent has been waiting and expire on their own after 72 hours. A declined or lapsed request frees the place and releases any card hold.
  • Know who is comingParents add their kids once, with date of birth, allergies, medical conditions and notes. Every request arrives complete, with the medical flags on the row.
  • Ask your own questionsAdd up to 15 booking questions of your own, including a form or waiver parents must agree to before they book. Returning parents see their answers filled in.
  • A run sheet for the doorNames, ages, medical alerts and parent phone numbers for each session, with places left against capacity. Print it or export every booking as a CSV.
  • Next term in one clickCopy a program to next term with its sessions carried forward. Parents waiting for dates are emailed once you add them.

Payments

Get paid without chasing.

Parents pay by card when they send a request. The card is charged only when you confirm, and Stripe pays your share straight into your bank account.

What it costs

Insights

Know what is working before next term starts.

Your Insights page shows what parents saw and did with your listings, program by program and venue by venue. Requests, saves and bookings are counted on EventCub as they happen, exact to the minute. Views are measured on the public site and brought in every night.

  • ReachViews and visitors, and how often your cards were shown and opened in search, over the last 7, 28 or 90 days against the period before.
  • DemandSaves, parents waiting for dates, Book clicks, requests and confirmations, broken down by program and by venue.

Your public page

Found by parents, and by Google.

Every provider gets a permanent page, and every program its own, so what you run is found by the parents searching for it, this term and next.

  • In every search that fitsParents filter by suburb, age, date, activity and kind: holiday camps, term classes, after school and weekend. Your programs appear wherever they match.
  • On the map and the suburb pagesEach venue has its own page and its own pin. A parent who pans the map to their suburb sees your sessions there.
  • On the front pageRails on the front page for the coming holidays, this weekend and free sessions this week, drawn from whatever has dates.
  • In parents' inboxesParents can follow a program or a search. When you add dates, or list something that matches, they are emailed.
  • Managed by youYour logo, photos and description, an Active Kids note, and a badge that says the page is managed by the provider. Structured data on every page tells search engines what you run, where and for whom.

Questions

What providers ask before they list

What does it cost?

Listing is free. EventCub keeps 5% of each booking paid online, taken out of your share before Stripe pays you. The parent pays the listed price and nothing on top. Bookings that are not paid online carry no fee at all.

Do I have to take card payments through EventCub?

No. Without Stripe connected, parents still send booking requests and see your payment instructions once you confirm. You can connect Stripe later from the Payments page in a few minutes.

What happens when a parent books?

The request lands on your dashboard and you have 72 hours to confirm or decline it. The parent is emailed either way. If they paid by card, the card is charged when you confirm and the hold is released if you decline or the request lapses.

When do my programs go live?

New provider accounts are reviewed by the EventCub team. You can set up venues and programs straight away, and they become visible to parents once your account is approved.

Can I list more than one venue?

Yes. Add every venue you run from, and a program can run at several of them. Each venue gets its own page and its own pin on the map.

What kinds of activities can I list?

Holiday camps, term classes, after-school and weekend programs, across sport, arts and crafts, music, drama, STEM, swimming, cooking, languages and more, for kids of any age.

I am already listed. How do I take over my page?

Open your page on EventCub and press “Is this your business?”. Tell us who you are and we email an invitation to manage it. Claiming is free and keeps the links and search standing the page has built.
