Paper Sculpture Workshop with Artist Samuel Chan

A paper sculpture workshop for children, led by gallery artist in residence Samuel Chan, focused on traditional sampan boat folding using specially hand-dyed paper.

Children learn the folding technique before placing their finished boats into dye baths, watching the colours bleed, merge and transform into a three-dimensional artwork.

The session also includes insight into Samuel's own artistic practice, giving children a sense of how a working artist develops and dyes paper for sculptural use.
