Good to know
- Lunch not provided; bring lunch and a full water bottle each day (refill stations on site)
- Students must stay at the College during lunch and breaks
- Girls: any-colour leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes; boys: leotard or tight T-shirt, tights, ballet shoes; jazz shoes if owned
- Pointe shoes only for students who already do pointe work
- Juniors bring character skirts and shoes if they have them
- Hair in a neat, secure bun (long hair tied back); no jewellery or watches
- Email a medical consent form (and any medical action plans) before the course starts
- Information pack with what to bring is emailed in early January
- Private secure entrance from North Strathfield station (gate code on request); limited parking on site and nearby
- Parents can watch a class and the final-day demonstration
About this program
The McDonald College's International Summer School is a five-day summer dance intensive in North Strathfield for dancers aged 7 to 20. Classes cover classical ballet, contemporary, repertoire, pointe and boys' coaching, Broadway jazz and musical theatre for juniors, taught by international guest faculty from Queensland Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and more.
