About this program
A week-long holiday drama course at NIDA Kensington for students in Grades 7–9. Taught by NIDA Open teaching artists, the course builds creativity, confidence and teamwork through four components: spontaneity (improvisation and narrative scene work), voice (an introduction to how the voice works and fundamental vocal techniques), physical awareness (alignment, presence and spatial relationships) and creative voice (taking on roles in a devising process to create a live presentation). Students also take part in a fun introduction to acting on screen workshop.
NIDA Open's early bird discount takes 10% off the full course price for young people's holiday courses when students enrol at least 4 weeks before the course starts; it is applied automatically online.
