MIX Development Basketball Competition

Do you have a primary school aged child interested in playing in a basketball team? Or have a group of primary school aged kids that want to compete?

Welcome to the Inner West Ballers Primary School Age development basketball competition!

Hosted by Inner West Ballers Basketball, this competition is designed for all participants of primary school age to take part in a friendly competition, building on the skills and teamwork they have been learning and applying them in a team setting.

Once the final list of participants is confirmed, teams will be created and balanced with a mix of ages and ability. The divisions are:

• ORANGE: Mostly younger beginner to intermediate level players
• WHITE: Sits in between Orange and Black division, determined once final numbers are known
• BLACK: Mostly older, experienced players with a higher skill level

Coaches have final say on player placement, though friendship groups and personal requests will be taken into consideration.

All games are 50 minutes including warm up and half time, with an estimated 8 total games including finals, and all teams participate in finals week.

Games are fully timed with referees, bench staff and officials, played with new basketball rings and a digital scoreboard.

Participants new to the competition should reach out to organise a time to come in for a skills assessment.
