Musical Monkeys Music Classes

A music class for pre-schoolers that uses imaginative play and active listening to build school readiness, in a group setting with a strong peer-to-peer focus.

Children are introduced to musical terminology and to how numbers are used in musical contexts, building toward more complex music concepts and forms.

• Musical listening and expression: pitch and melodic contour, rhythm and counting beats, singing and percussion skills
• Social development: confidence-building and self-awareness, sharing and taking turns, engaging respectfully with peers, cooperative games
• Language: vocabulary-building through stories and songs, musical structures and forms, Italian musical terms
• Coordination: synchronised movement and dance, balance, fine motor skills

Classes run for 40 minutes.
